BAYFIELD

Panel bright shone the sun,

Sky awash in baby blue,

Leaves and languid weeds rustled,

A symphony of silken solace,

Along the wooded trail walking,

Spicy scents of summer flowers,

Shapely bark, earth reinventing,

Nasally sharpening my focus,

Crashing waves I heard,

In twenty steps a witness,

Before my gaze, sea and sand,

Home of turquoise splendor,

Quiet corners of solitude,

Unseen without eyes to look,

Primordial memories again awaken,

To nature, all who I am.
